Job Summary:

Assist in the day to day operations, stability, growth, capacity planning, security, maintenance, diagnosing, correcting, designing, engineering, developing, implementing, integrating, supporting and troubleshooting infrastructure technologies. This role includes developing and maintaining a single consistent OS image and troubleshooting and resolving any issues on any deployed end user computing platform. This role has responsibility for working with business clients to elicit and document requirements used to select new and modify/improve existing computing platforms. Provide support for applications and enterprise-wide integration and implementation of networking technologies. Must place a high value on secure, highly available, fault-tolerant systems and be proactive in identifying and resolving technical challenges and work as a team player.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide prompt and friendly service to the organization, fulfilling service requests and resolving incidents in a timely manner to assure physicians, executives, and staff are satisfied. Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence. Responsible for accurately entering tickets and providing resolutions to work orders and change requests.

  • Install, configure, monitor and maintain VOIP/PBX system and circuits including plan designs, numbering, voice mailbox administration, IVR, and Contact Center. Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IP telephony system including switches, servers, and phones for the purpose of ensuring the system meets business needs.

  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, network services, equipment and devices.

  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain virtual server and virtual desktop infrastructure.

  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Storage Area Network and provision storage as needed.

  • Install, configure, monitor and maintain email, anti-virus, anti-spam systems.

  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain relational or object oriented databases, database management software and other data file structures.

  • Install, configure, monitor and maintain Microsoft technologies such as DHCP, DNS, SCCM, Active Directory, App-V.

  • Install, configure, monitor and maintain VMware technologies such as ESXi, vCenter, Horizon View, ThinApp, Mirage.

  • Install, configure, monitor and maintain End User Profile systems to ensure a seamless user experience across End User Computing platforms and preserve user data in a stateless Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.

  • Perform routine performance monitoring and tuning of alerts to assure consistent, reliable operation of systems and recommend improvements.

  • Provide system engineering, support, and Administration. Perform or assist with routine tasks to assure the reliable operation of computing platforms, including routine operating system, firmware, and application software updates.

  • Plan, design, build, test, and deploy application packages and updates to the environment and ensure that said applications and updates conform where necessary to the standard system configuration.

  • Perform in-depth root cause analysis of problems and define actions for timely resolution and corrective actions. Work with key vendors as necessary to assist with root cause analysis and problem resolution.

  • Transfer knowledge via documentation and training to IT team and End User clients. Develop and publish user guides, tips-and-hints and best practices documents and offer tutorials where applicable. document operational management processes. Provide up-to-date documentation on all personal computers, mobile devices, peripherals, phones, and all software for related devices on the enterprise network.

  • Manage projects, plan and implement future IT developments, and support existing infrastructure requirements. Evaluate changes to system platforms to ensure that services are delivered according to SLAs.

  • Have solid expertise in disaster recovery. Maintain backup and recovery jobs and ensure all systems are backed up and can be recovered.

  • Provide technical leadership in virtual technology solutions such as Application Virtualization, Application Streaming, and Profile Management.

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for both the physical and virtual desktop application environments, providing design, implementation and deployment of desktop management solutions.

  • Implement industry standard practices for physical and virtual architecture. Specify, document and publish standards for Computing platforms.

  • Create and manage Powershell or other scripts to manage the system infrastructure.

  • effectively mange, troubleshoot and resolve any problems with enterprise wide inventory system for all IT related devices and software and accurately maintain inventory records. Ensure the safe and secure disposal of retiring equipment.

  • Responsible for coordination, documentation and execution of staff moves, adds and changes.

  • Responsible for onboarding and off-boarding of staff in all systems. Manage permissions and access control to systems.

  • Responsible for maintaining Physical Access Controls systems and issuing or revoking badges.



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.


  • Five or more years of full time relevant experience in an information technology field.

  • In-depth understanding of network topology and architecture, including SAN, VMware, VDI, Microsoft, Cisco, VoIP, and SQL server and databases.

  • Knowledge of security and service-based technologies.


  • MCSE, CCNA, or VCP preferred
