Job Summary:

The Echo/Vascular department transporter is responsible for the transportation of patients to and from the Echo and Vascular scan rooms. They are also responsible for maintenance of transport equipment.

Essential Duties:

  • Transports patients to and from the department in a manner conducive to patient safety and comfort; performs basic patient care activities as directed by management or nursing staff in accordance with standards of care and scope of practice; hooks and unhooks patients from medical equipment (e.g. telemetry, oxygen, suction, etc); returns all equipment after transport (ie. wheelchair, stretcher).



  • High school graduate or equivalent required.


  • Six months of related work experience.


  • CPR - Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association is required.
