Performs a full range of system/business process-related activities to

facilitate the effective use and maintenance of supply chain point-of-use

systems and applications (e.g. Lawson, Pyxis) for a given region/facility.

Overarching responsibilities include 1) acting as front line gate keeper of

supply chain applications (e.g., Lawson), performing critical data governance

functions to ensure clean master data; 2) identifying, organizing, and

overseeing projects designed to expand/optimize the use of supply chain

point-of-use systems and applications; 2) analyzing and remediating proper

operational/process issues and database inaccuracies; 3) training

management/staff in proper system use and related business processes; 4) serving

as first-level troubleshooting resource for routine (non-IT technical) system

issues.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, business

administration, information systems or related discipline

Minimum years in field

previous to employment: Work experience with supply chain applications (e.g. Lawson or equivalent

application) or three (3) years in computer software operations/support work

experience

Knowledge of concepts, practices, industry standards and equipment relating to

automated computer systems, Lawson, MMIS, and related software sufficient to

perform the duties of the position

Knowledge of effective methodologies for

providing on-the-job training to users, business process analysis and for

troubleshooting process-related issues

Ability to coordinate projects,

synthesize project information, identify critical issues and to prepare

progress/status reports and other project documentation and/or

records

Knowledge of methods for ensuring/auditing the integrity,

normalization and accuracy of data

Position

Responsibilities

  1. Works with purchasing and inventory & logistics functions to ensure

Supply Chain applications and point-of-use systems are maintained and that

changes are made in a timely manner (e.g., to charge master, templates, shopping

lists)

  1. Provides training on relevant system ensuring understanding of

importance and uses

  1. Serves as team leader for supply chain point-of-use

system or application (e.g., Lawson) projects, which includes coordinating

workflow and problem-solving

  1. Serves as liaison to CHI Data Management, and

as the division/facility representative for CHI Connect system improvements and

optimization through committee participation as a division super-user

Assists with the new item and contract conversion process to ensure Lawson

numbers have been built correctly into the multiple systems

  1. Organizes,

manages and/or coordinates internal projects designed to expand/optimize the

use/functionality of the automated materials management system (e.g. improving

accuracy, efficiency and productivity; adding customers, requestors, locations,

inventories, accounts and/or approvers, etc.)
