Englewood, Colorado, CHI operates in 18 states and comprises more than 90

hospitals, including four academic medical centers and teaching hospitals; 24

critical-access facilities; community health services organizations; accredited

nursing colleges; home health agencies; and other services that span the

inpatient and outpatient continuum of care.

Responsible for assisting with the budgeting process, budget expense management

and reporting, variance/impact analysis, forecasting, and other financial

related tasks. Provides advanced financial data as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Finance or related field

Minimum years in field previous to employment:

  • Five (5) years of experience

Preferred years in field previous to employment:

  • Strong background in finance and budget management

  • Must have strong spreadsheet (i.e. Excel) skills

  • Ability to learn new computer systems

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to manage multiple concurrent activities, and balance priorities

to meet changing requirements and commitments

  • Must be comfortable working with staff at all levels of the organization

  • Able to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive financial and operational

information

Position Responsibilities

  1. Researches, gathers and summarizes financial data; identifies potential

problems and Develops solutions

  1. Develops and Prepares routine and special Finance and Audit Reports as

needed

  1. Assists during budget development process by compiling reports, entering

budget information, and developing internal communications

  1. Prepares budget reports, and Assists with expense allocation issues and

questions

  1. Analyzing and interpreting data, converting it into information that can be

used by management decision making; makes appropriate recommendations

  1. In analyzing financial information, is expected to be able to discern what

trends, variances, projections, etc. are important, and to bring that

information to the attention of management

  1. Assists in the development of policies and procedures; makes recommendations

as necessary

  1. Stays abreast of the latest standards and regulations within the scope of

this position’s responsibility

  1. Provides reporting and tracking of the process to Executive Management
