license to practice Respiratory Care through the Board of Respiratory Care (KBRC)

required; RRT credentialed from the National Board of Respiratory Care.



Respiratory Therapist is responsible to the Respiratory Care Supervisor and

does not supervise any other employee. They are in daily contact with patients,

families, physicians, nurses, and other employees.

PhysicalRequirements and Environmental Conditions:


be able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs., sit, walk, stand extensively and be

able to perform fine and gross motor skills. Physical coordination, mobility,

verbal articulation, vision, and learning must be easily performed. May be

exposed to blood, body tissue and fluids regularly, as well as other hazardous

waste materials. Must be able to tolerate environmental temperature

fluctuations. May be exposed to radiation, toxins, dust, cytotoxins, and/or

poisonous substances. May be exposed, periodically to physical injury, burns,

noise, and some electrical hazards.
