Essential Job Functions:
Ensures that the guidelines for health care personnel wishing to conduct research projects are followed appropriately.
Assists the organizational leadership and Physician Investigators in determining if proposed research follows established guidelines and is of value to the CHI Health Nebraska or promotes the well-being of current and future patient care within CHI Health Nebraska.
Recruits clinical research studies based on need and criteria defined by the Research Department.
Develops a clinical research study network within CHI Health St Elizabeth and The Physician Network.
Prepares IRB materials, communicates study changes to the IRB, reports study progress to the IRB on a regular basis and keeps IRB records for clinical studies being conducted at CHI Health St. Elizabeth and The Physician Network.
Maintains clinical study records and study timelines, conducts necessary literature reviews, gathers data, prepares reports, submits materials and needed corrections to investigating body and maintains clinical study financial records and reports.
Conducts education of staff regarding clinical studies that have been approved by the Research Department with the assistance of staff.
Prepares publications/presentations as directed by the Research Department.
Bachelor Degree in nursing, life science or other related discipline
Licensure as RN or Pharmacist in the State of Nebraska.
Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator is recommended.
Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance
Clinical research experience in education program or as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
