Educator Behavioral Health, Clinical Education, Our Lady of Peace, Days, Full Time


The Mental Health Educator provides

educational support for the quality

and safety of patient care and the

professional development of the mental health staff. The Mental

Health Educator Works collaboratively with the Educator 2 to identify, develop and deliver educational programs for mental health technicians and other mental

health workers in both

the clinical and classroom setting. The Mental

Health Educator provides clinical

instruction and support and facilitates other modalities to meet and

ensure competency of mental health

staff as well as safe and effective delivery of care.

Working under the direction of the Educator 1 or 2, the Mental Health Educator collaborates with to promote

standardized, effective educational processes

including, but not limited to: initial onboarding/unit orientation and competency, annual and ongoing competency, AHA and SCM programs, as well as work force development and

continuing education specific to meet mental health worker standards.


Education I Accreditation /licensure (required &



High School

or GED, college hours in social services or healthcare field

BLS certification

Basic computer


Able to

physically complete all didactic and therapeutic techniques required in the

Safe Crisis

Management Program


Bachelor’s degree in social services,

healthcare or communication

Experience (required

and preferred):


A minimum of two years of relevant

clinical experience

Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate with physicians, hospital staff, educational institution representatives and other professionals


Knowledge and experience of educational assessments, classroom

presentations and working with a Learning Management System
