The Lab Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities
of the laboratory staff in an assigned specialty in the laboratory, i.e.
Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology/Serology, Blood Bank, and Pathology. The Lab Supervisor has 24 hour functional
responsibility for the section supervised.
This position may provide services for various patient populations
including neo-natal, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Ensures care provided is based on defined
standards of patient care and laboratory practice.
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or
related Science such as Microbiology, Biology, or Clinical Chemistry.
2 years experience in specialty as a Medical
Technologist. Previous management or
supervisory experience desirable.
ASCP certification of equivalent.
