RN-Clinic Specialty Lead, GI Motility, Days, Full Time

This

position is accountable for the daily patient care operations of the assigned

department, working under the direction of the Manager. Responsible for daily patient care

assignments, maintaining clinical standards of care, maintaining labor productivity

and supervision of the patient care environment; supporting the care team. Supports the activities of the Nurse

Manager. Maintains positive inter- and

intra-departmental relationships.

Directs patient throughput activities for the department. Maintains

evidence-based nursing practices to achieve desirable patient outcomes in

accordance with the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act.

  1. Provides directsupervision of personnel in the GI Motility Clinic,

  2. Evaluates assignments,facilitates patient throughput, and directly observes staff performance

  3. Proactively matchesexisting resources seeking ways to provide patient care that supportsstaff and maintains a therapeutic environment

  4. Maintains Department Professional standards.Holds staff accountable for behaviorsand attitudes Ensures that the clinic by making sure the team are preparedand working efficiently each day.

  5. Seemlessly cover forclinical team members when they are not available.

  6. Facilitates PatientExperience best practices by rounding daily on inpatients.

  7. Coordinates with TragerTransplant Center reception team on patients who arrive late forappointments.

  8. Maintains confidentialityof information of the department.Assistsmanagement team with investigations and responses to patient complaintsand grievances.

  9. Communicates personnel related concernsto Manager.

  10. Tracking and reportingproductivity for the clinic.

  11. Charge entering.

  12. Schedules stimulators, etcas needed.

  13. Responsible for workingwith the service line leadership team to schedule and give staff training.

  14. Participates in GIMotility Quality Meetings.

  15. Uses a logical, systematicapproach to problems and problem-solving.

  16. Contributes to theefficient operation of the department

Qualifications

Education / Accreditation / Licensure(required & preferred): BSN

Experience (required and preferred):

  • 2-5 years direct patient care experience

  • Evidence of management/leadership initiatives
