Responsibilities

  • Supports ANC-s Mission, Values, Strategic Goals and high standards of customer service. Consistently lives -People First- behaviors.

  • Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including Confidentiality of HIPAA protected health information.

  • Observes and utilizes appropriate technique to perform the following functions:

  • Mouth care

  • Skin Care

  • Hair care; shampoo and comb

  • Complete or partial bath-in bed, tub or shower

  • Assists patient on and off bedpan, commode or toilet

  • Assists patient to transfer from bed to chair and visa versa

  • Assists patient when walking

  • Assists patient in dressing

  • Takes temperature, pulse and respiration when advised

  • Assists with range of motion exercises when advised

  • Keeps brief records as instructed by the staff nurse

  • Changes bed linens

  • Measures I & O as ordered

  • Gives enemas as directed by staff nurse

  • Performs simple urine test for sugar, acetone or albumin andrecords results

  • Reports changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel

  • Completes and submits all required documentation in a timelymanner

  • Demonstrates sensitivity to patient, family andother customer needs, customs or feelings

  • Maintains confidentially of patient/customer information

  • Follows policies and procedures of the company

  • Arrives at scheduled time and completes assignment

  • Recognizes emergencies and has knowledge of emergencyprocedures

  • Maintains a good attendance and tardy record per ANCpolicies.- Reports absences to supervisor prior to thescheduled start time according to policy.

  • Obtains required # of inservice hours per calendar year

  • Grooming and overall appearance is acceptable

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school graduate/GED or one year nurse aide experience.

  • Must pass state test in the state serviced.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

  • Must be age 18 or older.

  • Must obtain and maintain current CPR Certification (all locations).
