RN Manager, Operating Room
Position Summary: Assure the effective use of unit resources
to meet patient’s needs for nursing care on a shift by shift basis, promote
interdepartmental cooperation and problem solving, facilitate the cooperative
efforts of the unit nursing staff group, and provide an accessible management
person to communicate with staff and to carry out supervisory functions. Provide direct nursing care to patients of
all ages on the given unit.
Qualifications: Appropriate state licensure, specialized
professional credentialing, and other formal education as needed. Registered Nurse competency is validated by
the Departmental Competency Based Orientation (CBO) and designated annual
competency validation for department.
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience
Previous Related Experience Required: Required minimum of 3 years leadership experience with a Bachelor’s Degree OR 5 years leadership experience in the discipline without a Bachelor’s Degree.
