  1. Complete financial and operational analysis of surgical operations at each metro hospital campus, gathering data and generating reports for information and decision making. Facilitate action planning processes with Surgical Services leadership to achieve targets.

  2. Utilizing the Surgical Services Technologies including Pyxis, Optime, and related programs, identify, standardize and assist in the diffusion of best practices to maximize charge capture and optimize reimbursement.

  3. Develop, prepare, and disseminate leadership dashboards which will include key financial and performance metrics as well as quality indicators. Provide analysis and consultation to assist leaders in understanding and utilizing their data to drive performance improvement and improve the quality of services within their area.

  4. Analyze productivity reports and work collaboratively with Surgical Services and system leadership to develop and implement plans to achieve productivity targets across the system. Assist with process change to ensure targets are achievable.

  5. Track surgical supply usage and work to assure compliance with CHI national vendor and purchasing programs. Recommend PAR levels and inventory turns based on analysis of Pyxis data, working with Surgical Services leadership and supply staff to develop actions plans.

  6. Participate in strategic planning for the service line, using national and local data and trends to inform strategy and plans.




  • A minimum of six years in business analysis, accounting, finance or revenue cycle management, preferably in a hospital environment. Exposure to surgical services preferable.Education/Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, strategic Development or related field required

  • Additional training, advanced degree and/or continuing education in process improvement desirable

  • Certification in a healthcare discipline is extremely advantageous

  • Clarity or Crystal report writing capability is preferred
