Job Summary:

Essential Duties:

Cleans and disinfects patient rooms and public areas as assigned daily following established

procedures.

  1. Conducts all cleaning activities and operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

as prescribed in the departmental training sessions. Ensure cleanliness of areas of

responsibility.

  1. Reports all building and/or furniture maintenance requirements to the Environmental

Services Team Lead.

  1. Attends all meetings and training sessions as required.

  2. Maintains established department policies, procedures and objectives, concerning quality

assurance, safety, environmental conditions and infection control.

  1. Maintains professional attitude with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel while

assuring confidentiality of patient information.

  1. Wears proper attire as prescribed by department policy

Qualifications

Experience

Prefer previous housekeeping experience.

Education/Licensure

Completion of grammar school or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Must be able to operate housekeeping equipment. Ability to follow verbal directions.

Working Conditions

Extensive periods of bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting required. Ability to work 100% of shift time on their feet.

Daily Schedule 3:30pm - midnight

Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period 80

Weekends Required Every Other
