What is a Scheduled Resource Team? The Scheduled Resource Team is a nursing pool developed by Avantas & CHI Health for flexible nurses, providing high quality care to patients across multiple nursing departments.

How will my pay rate of pay for Scheduled Resource Team be determined? Your base rate of pay, shift and holiday differentials and merit increases are identical to all core staff members. Because the Scheduled Resource Team is designed to value flexibility, anyone committed to a .6 or higher will earn premium differential pay in addition to normal differential pay.

Premium Differential Pay:

Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., earn an extra 10%

Night Shift: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., earn an extra 15%

High Needs

  • : 13 week commitment, earn an extra 40%

  • Example: every Fri/Sat/Sun, a High Need shift is re-evaluated every 13 weeks, if it is determined to no longer be a High Need, this position would drop to a regular scheduled resource team position.

Job Summary / Essential Duties:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess and prioritize patient needs.

  • Formulates, implements and evaluates the patient's plan of care. Adjusts plan of care in consultation with the RN Team Coordinator as appropriate and implements plan.

  • Uses basic communication skills to provide care to assigned patients/families. Relays pertinent information through appropriate documentation and referral to other health care team members such as medicine, dietary and support staff. Initiates discharge planning working in collaboration with the Case Manager as appropriate.

  • Initiates appropriate nursing action in crisis or emergency situations.

  • Carries out physician orders.

  • Provides continuity of care to meet the patient's changing needs.

  • Records information on the patient record in accordance with charting guidelines.

  • Utilizes time management principles and techniques.

  • Recognizes changes in patient status based on interpretation of assessments.

Qualifications

Experience

One-year experience in an area of specialty preferred.

Education and Licensure Required

Completion of a Registered Nurse program in an accredited institution

Current RN licensure in the State of Nebraska or the State of Iowa; Nebraska and Iowa are compact states so you must be licensed in the state of residence.

Additional requirements include:

BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR, PRO, must say “Professional Level-with AED”, and American Heart Association: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

ACLS or ACLS instructor certification is required within 6 months. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, American Safety and Health Institute: ACLS, American College of Surgeons: ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) and American College of Emergency Physician: ACLS
