procedures. Demonstrates an

understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each

procedure, and indications for performing each procedure.

the radiographic equipment utilizing radiation safety procedures

physiologic recorder/database system with expertise recognizing arrhythmias and

normal/abnormal waveforms

  1. Operates

manifold, power injector, and other support equipment (VCR, ACT machines,

oximeters, and transport monitors)

  1. Develops

cines when necessary according to policy

  1. Able to recognize basic equipment

malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in room. Report malfunctions to Biomed

promptly if unable to resolve

  1. Exhibits a

strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and is able to interpret date

  1. Helps to

efficiently run schedule by maintaining a smooth and steady rate of work by

working independently. Communicate with other room staff and schedule

coordinator to maximize the productivity of the entire department. Perform

Anticipates physician needs by being knowledgeable of: 1. procedures performed

in the department and 2. equipment (catheters, guide wires, etc.) necessary for

procedures. Sets up sterile trays and is able to assist physicians during procedures,

utilizing septic technique. Assists in maintaining the appropriate level of

medications and supplies stocked in the room

  1. Scrub

assist for AAA, TAVR and complex endovascular procedures and

radiographic/digital imaging technique for RTR’s


Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associate's Degree -OR-

Registered as a Radiologic Technologist

Radiography (RTR) , Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS),

or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)

CPR certified is required

Minimum years in field prior to employment: 3 years of experience.

Documented expertise & successful completion

of specialty training areas & skills checklist for at least two of the

following: EP, interventional, scrub

assist for AAA procedures or radiographic/digital imaging technique
