Job Summary:

The Nurse Assistant of the unit is held accountable for following the policies and procedures of the department, organization, and CHI.

Additionally, the position serves as a role model for ethical behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, Vision and Behavior Standards of Mercy Medical Center.

Essential Duties:

  1. Obtains assignments from nurse, nurse manager, and manager.

  2. Assists patient to patient room.

  3. Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight and respiration.

  4. Notifies nurse of results.

  5. Completes cleaning of the unit according to established cleaning guidelines.

  6. Accountable for completing goals set at evaluation.

  7. Obtains assignments for EKG’s from Radiology and nurses.

  8. Obtains med list for nurses to complete.

  9. Room Patients

Qualifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification

Current ND CNA Certification

Nursing Assistant must be registered with ND State Board of Nursing

Education

High School or General Education Degree

Experience

Prior nursing assistant experience preferred.

Pass color blind test.
