Catholic Health Initiatives Phlebotomist in BARDSTOWN, Kentucky



This is for a Full Time day shift Phlebotomist at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown, KY.

Performs a variety of clerical duties and coordinates communications between departments. Performs blood collections (Phlebotomy) from patients and assumes responsibility for safety and comfort of patients, following established standards and practices. Provides direct patient care to patients of all ages.



  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Completion of post-high school course work including computer courses, mathematics, science and phlebotomy training is preferred.


  • Looking for applicants with at least one year of experience or completion of a recent phlebotomy course including an externship.


  • Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) by ASCP or equivalent is strongly preferred.

  • BLS certification preferred.
