Radiologic Technologist I


  1. Job Summary / Job Purpose

The Radiologic Technologist (AART) is responsible for operates radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic imaging films as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures.

  1. Key Responsibilities

* Performs a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

  • Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures.

  • Instructs patients regarding procedures. Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.

  • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiology equipment.

  • Examines radiology film and/or digital exams for properties such as density and contracts, definition, magnification and distortion.

  • Takes x-rays of various portions of the body in order to diagnosis disease or injury.

  • Prepares patients for x-ray by administering drugs or chemical mixtures orally or intravenously.

  • Records test results and monitors patient data.

  • Calibrates and maintains x-ray equipment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  1. Job Requirements / Qualifications

  2. Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • American Association of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT/CCRT) certification required

  1. Experience (required and preferred):

* 0-2 years’ experience preferred
