45200 RN-EMPLOYEE HEALTH/HEALTH PROMOTION

General Summary : Develops and coordinates employee and community Health Promotion and Wellness programs, screenings and campaigns. Coordinates and implements employee health activities and functions. Organizes and maintains all Employee Health records and testing.

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts Employee Health Promoition interest survey annually

  • Coordinates annual Employee Health Screenings

  • Develops programming according to Health Promotion interests and Screening findings

  • Manages Employee Wellness committee, meetings , and duties

  • Provides wellness coaching and counseling to employees as requested/needed

  • Coordinates and conducts new employee health assessments

  • Coordinates and conducts employee 4 year health assessments

  • Maintains employee health records: immunizations, physicals (health assessments) and exposures as required by state law

  • Ensures proper testing and follow-up has occurred with exposures to blood and body fluids

  • Maintains OSHA required documentation for all exposures to blood and body fluids

  • Provides immunizations to hospital staff, volunteers and students

Community:

  • Develops alliance with community agencies to assess community needs

  • Participates in community coalitions to determine community needs and pursue grants/funding for health promotion projects

  • Develops and coordinates Health Promotion and Wellness programming, screening and activities for the community

  • Markets Employee Wellness programming to community businesses

  • Coordinates HealthPromotion and Wellness screening and prgramming for employee wellness program for community business clients

  • Markets Wellness Assessment/Screening to community members

  • Collaborate with community agencies to develop Community Health Promotion awareness and educational classes and programming

  • Provides immunizations to community and corporate entities when approved by hospital administration

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Must be highly energetic with proven planning and organization skills as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years as a clinical RN required

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in health promotion or related field preferred.

  • Experience in delivery and coordination of corporate-based health promotion programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in the areas of data collection, data analysis, worker’s compensation programs preferred

  • Current CPR certification required
