Job Summary:

The Echo/Vascular Technologist works under the supervision of the Outpatient Imaging Manager and performs Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo testing, and Echo Contrast studies, as well as vascular ultrasound studies.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate degree in nursing, radiology, respiratory therapy or other medical field, or completion of an approved ultrasound training program is required.

Experience:

  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills are required.

  • The ability to relate testing knowledge and theory to ECHO/Vascular procedures and equipment, and the ability to interpret results and isolate the most accurate readings is essential.

License/Certification:

  • RDCS or RCS/ and/or RVT within 1 year of hire.

  • Registered or eligible for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Ultrasound Technology

  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
