The House Supervisor is a registered nurse who serves as a liaison for all departments within the hospital during days, and week-end hours in absence of department leadership and administrative staff.
Two years in charge or leadership position within last five years in a hospital setting.
Five years recent nursing experience.
Clinical knowledge as a Registered Nurse in the same or similar clinical specialty preferred.
Licensure or Certification:
Active RN license in Tennessee
American Heart Association (AHA) BCLS required.
ACLS or CART required on telemetry units within six months
PALS – ER, required within six months
Use of general patient care equipment and communication equipment.
Use of unit-specific equipment (computers, copiers, etc.).
Good telephone and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changes in health care technology.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
