Key Functions

Provides advanced problem solving and implementation skills,

and/or as a team member to implement, upgrade and support complex application

systems. Ensures that all systems are fully tested before implementation into

production. Documents and describes complex processes and procedures relating

to current and future systems environments. Trains and educates users on system

functionality and capability. Provides mentoring and training to junior

application analyst staff in the areas of system analysis & design,

specification development and documentation, end user training and CHI

prescribed methodologies. Provides 24x7 level three application support on

rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • ProvidesLevel 2 and 3 support for day-to-day production issues maintainingdocumentation in the appropriate tracking systems while adhering toprescribed escalation & change control procedures.

  • Establishesplans for supporting super-user groups.

  • Establishesdirection for standardization of documentation and the integration ofapplicable standards and practices.

  • Leadsevaluations of IT updates and revisions; establishes priorities and plansfor release schedules.

  • Ensuresthat maintenance releases are properly tested and quality assured prior toproduction.

  • Ensuresadequate support for all applications and coordinates with the appropriateteams.

  • Leadsincident management processes and escalates issues as appropriate.

  • Leadsplanning for installations of production application changes.

  • Ensuresadequate documentation is provided to support training of applications.

  • Interfaceswith vendors on maintenance release information gathering and planning

  • Leadsidentification of continuous improvement opportunities and relatedprojects

  • Completesassigned tasks as per defined project scope, timelines, and budgets forimplementations.

  • Worksto prescribed methodologies for all project implementations. May work onmultiple implementations at any given time.

  • Leadscoordination of the transition from implementation to production andapplication support.

  • Ensuresnew installations will integrate with the current application and datatechnical environment.

  • Developscomplex reports, scripts and forms according to required specifications.

  • Ensuresbusiness and system processes and procedures are documented through theuse of industry standard process flow and flow charting techniques.

  • Developrequirements specifications according to standard templates.

  • Actsas a liaison between technical staff and business subject matter expertsin creating and refining business requirements.

  • Coordinatesplanning with Application Solution Architect andother Application Analysts for application and maintenanceimplementations.

  • Workswith change control on scheduling implementation activities and emergencyfixes.

  • Workswith cross functional teams as necessary to support new installations.

  • Workswith management on escalation and management of issues.

  • Mayfunction as a team lead to implement, upgrade and support applicationsystems.

  • Proactivelycommunicate and collaborate with external and internal customers toanalyze information needs and functional requirements and delivery.

  • Providesinput to application developers on business criteria that guides solutiondesign decisions.

  • Applysubject matter expertise in business areas to assist in the redesign ofbusiness process to ensure success.

  • Additionaltasks/responsibilities as defined.

  • Mayrequire on-call coverage responsibilities.

Qualifications

Skills, Requirements, Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required or may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5-7 years’ experience in supporting vendor platform.

  • CoPath application experience is a big plus.

  • Experience working directly with vendors.

  • Knowledge of enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of systems and application development.

  • Experience with report development tools.

  • Knowledge of the application of computer technology within healthcare preferred.

  • Knowledge of ITIL environments preferred.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
