Job Summary

This position is a highly visible and challenging role that will assist the ITS FP&A team in developing and maintaining an effective financial planning, reporting, and analysis process. The position will support month and year end close processes, as well as budget, forecast, and long range financial planning cycles. The ideal candidate will leverage their business acumen and analytical skills to establish and maintain valuable partnerships with the ITS team. Key Responsibilities

  • Reports to Manager – ITS FP&A

  • Supports month-end and year-end close process, including invoice review, journal entry preparation, and accrual analysis.

  • Ensures compliance with GAAP principles.

  • Builds and maintains financial datasets by identifying sources of information; assembling, verifying inputs.

  • Performs analysis to highlight trends and understand business performance, including actual vs. budget variances, forecasts, etc.

  • Meets with ITS budget owners to review financial performance.

  • Assists ITS budget owners in managing planned spend, making process recommendations where necessary.

  • Supports forecast, budget, and long range financial plan processes for the ITS organization.

  • Helps maintain and improve monthly financial reporting processes.

  • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related area. CPA is desirable.

Experience (required and preferred):

  • Requires minimum 3 years of Finance or Accounting experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.

  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

  • Independent thinker and strong attention to detail.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates positive attitude in performing assigned tasks and initiatives by performing tasks not directly assigned but within scope of the function.
