Surgical First Assistant (Surgery) Full-Time (CHI Memorial Hospital - Georgia)



The Surgical First Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician with surgical task and procedures throughout the intra-operative phase, as well as contributing to the delivery of quality patient care by working with other surgical team members during the immediate preoperative and postoperative phases.



Education : The following are eligible candidates for the position: 1) Registered Nurse; 2) Orthopedic Physician Assistant/Physician Assistant; 3) Certified Surgical First Assistant; 4) college degree in health related field with five years of first assisting experience

Licensure or Certification: 1) BCLS certified.

2) Required as applicable in relation to education

3) Credentialing privileges through the medical staff

Experience : Experience in first-assisting a surgeon preferred.
