**Applications Analyst III - Epic Beaker
- $2,500 Sign On Bonus*
Accountable for a) analyzing, installing and testing mid-range to large computing equipment, and b) analyzing, installing and maintaining multi-platform operating system software and associated software systems on all Data Center platforms. This includes the performance tuning and capacity planning of this software to ensure the scheduled availability of the multi-platform network and customer applications, to enhance the productivity of the business Functions.
Installs and Maintains multi-platform software, hardware and databases, and Maintains multi-platform software to specified version/release levels, ensuring availability and efficiency.
Ensures procedures are documented for future problem tracking and reference for future installation and maintenance projects.
Analyzes failures of multi-platform software, hardware and databases and Implements corrective procedures for these failures with detailed problem tracking documentation.
Provides backup and recovery procedures for multi-platform software, hardware and databases and Ensures documentation of procedures are established to ensure disaster recovery Functions.
Performs departmental administrative tasks, such as writing status reports on time, keeping the Software Manager informed of requests from application teams for staffing needs, managing various projects assigned by the Software Manager, maintaining operational procedures and documentation, and etc.
Monitors and tunes multi-platform software and hardware systems, and collects and analyzes computer performance data, ensuring all muti-platform software and hardware systems are running at maximum efficiency, and documents and submits capacity and trend analysis reports to IS Management.
Provides technical support, including specialized technical coding and problem tracking and resolution, to customer and applications staff.
Trains and Assists Software Administration and Computer Operations staff members in proper procedures for installing and maintaining multi-platform software, hardware and databases, as well as technical workings of software products.
Participates on teams as a cooperative member of the Team and practices the Team behaviors within the project team environment of I.S. Effectiveness will be assessed by other team members, the project manager, and customers based on stated standards.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s Degree - a related field or may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six (6) years relevant experience
