Job Summary/Essential Duties:

  1. Provides extra-corporeal circulation to cardiac surgery patients while preserving the body tissues in as normal a state as possible.

  2. Through experience and continuing education is able to continually improve upon the patient care provided and is able to provide education and clinical expertise across department lines.

  3. Participates as a member of a team and keeps the goals of the organization as a whole in mind at all times with respect to fiscal, ethical, moral and legal obligations.

  4. Performs value added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction.


Position Qualifications


  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree and be a graduate of a Certified School of Perfusion Education.


  • Must be American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion certified or eligible.

  • Nebraska State Licesened as a Perfusionist.

  • CPR certification within 3 months of employment.


  • Previous experience is helpful but not required.

  • New graduates must have completed a minimum of 100 clinical perfusions.
