RN-Educator, Perioperative Services



ClinicalEducator for Perioperative Services provides educational support to improveperioperative patient care and outcomes within the OR complex. The Clinical Educator identifies, develops,and delivers educational programs for individuals and groups of learners inboth the clinical and classroom setting; provides clinical instruction to meetand ensure clinical competency of staff, safe delivery of care, and to supportevidence based practice.



TRAINING: BSN mandatory from an accredited School of Nursing, MSN strongly



Minimum of 5 years as a

Registered Nurse with at least 5 years perioperative experience working with

diverse patient populations and different surgical specialties. Basic computer skills mandatory. Candidates with previous education and

teaching experience preferred. Knowledge

of evidence-based practice preferred.



Registered Nurse state

of Kentucky, BCLS certification required.

CNOR, BCLS Instructor

certification preferred or must be obtained within one year of employment.
