Market Manager-Magnet - Clinical Education - Full Time Days


JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with our mission and core values of reverence, integrity, compassion and excellence, this position Provides operational support and overall coordination for the strategic and sustainable implementation of Magnet Accreditation, and provides operational support of Joint Commission Accreditation standards that pertain to nursing. A high degree of professional competence and autonomy will be demonstrated in performing the roles of 1) consultant/ collaborator, and 2) change agent, 3) educator, 4) coach/mentor and 5) researcher.


Plans and leads Magnet accreditation and the Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation activities for full compliance of the Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation in the nursing department.

  • Oversees all assigned site survey nursing activities to ensure a coordinated, organized and successful survey.

  • Collaborates with personnel in the compliance department in the preparation of written responses and implementation of corrective action plans regarding TJC survey related recommendations for the nursing department. Identifies and facilitates new/updated policies and procedures changes needed for regulatory and safety compliance.

  • Supports and facilitates the problem solving and decision making skills of health care providers, the institution and other organizations.

  • Utilizes principles of communication to facilitate appropriate exchange of information.

  • Responds to requests for consultation from staff members and directors regarding practice issues.

  • May lead or chair or co-chair various committees involved with regulatory or system initiatives, patient safety issues, interdisciplinary problem resolution or quality division activities.

  • Provides leadership and coordination related to maintaining Magnet designation.

Manages the NDNQI requirement activities.

Identifies regulatory compliance gaps and mentors nursing leadership in developing appropriate plans to address and close the gaps to achieve outcomes, promote safe practices and achieve sustainable compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Facilitates ongoing readiness review nursing activities throughout assigned hospitals to ensure regulatory and safety requirements are met

  • Leads the implementation of regulatory or safety related policies and facilitates with leadership the standardization across the system where practical and necessary.

Provides consultative services, coaches and facilitates key stakeholders and staff.

  • Serves as subject matter expert on accreditation initiatives

  • Serves as a liaison between Education, Human resources and the nursing division in issues that affect professional practice and facilitates communication across nursing departments.

  • Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of standards of nursing practice on a house-wide basis via the shared nursing leadership model.

  • Serves as a professional practice resource for nursing staff and directors.

  • Promotes education of staff related to evidence-based practice and nursing research and the potential to impact patient care.

  • Provides for the dissemination of current information and research as well as utilization of Evidence-Based Practice.

  • Coordination of Nurses’ Week activities

  • Serves as a mentor and professional role model regarding ethical, legal and professional values of nursing guided by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.

  • Participate in evaluation of the impact/outcomes of various programs and interventions upon patient care and nursing practice.

  • Facilitates the implementation of survey readiness and regulatory education and communication plan for nursing.

  • Facilitates change in clinical practice based on findings from data collection, surveillance, studies and research.

  • Works collaboratively with all levels of Leadership and other staff members of the assigned organization to manage processes designed to promote nursing excellence and improve quality of care.

Provides on-going education and survey readiness updates to nursing management regarding changes in accreditation standards or licensing regulations.



Education: BSN required, MSN preferred. MSN within 2 years of hire required.

Licensure/Certification: Current unencumbered RN licensure to practice in the State of Arkansas; BCLS certified as appropriate.

Must sit for professional certification within one year of entering the position. Must have obtained professional certification within two years.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience.

Physical Requirements: This job requires, at various times, the following physical activities; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing, sometimes exerting in excess of 20-100 pounds of force. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform daily activities. May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals), infectious diseases, and may be required to function around prisoners and mental patients.

Skills: Must demonstrate competence in all required skills. Able to deal effectively with patient care partners, patients, family members and physicians. Must demonstrate excellent written/oral communication skills, organizational skills and time management skills. Must demonstrate effectiveness in applicable computer skills – i.e. Word, Excel, PPT.
