Our Lady of Peace is currently hiring for a Full-time Art Therapist.

Our Lady of Peace recently celebrated being named one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky for 2016, 2017 and 2018! We are one of the country’s largest private, non-profit psychiatric/mental health hospitals with a total of 220 beds. The facility offers the most comprehensive array of psychiatric treatment and substance abuse services in the state, including specialized programs and services along the full continuum of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming for all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. This position is responsible for providing direct clinical services to child, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients utilizing art and other expressive therapies to address interpersonal issues that cause emotional distress. These include art therapy, expressive therapy, individual art or expressive therapy; if certified, juvenile sexual offender therapy; if credentialed, play therapy or EMDR and/or psychoeducation. Modalities utilized are based on clinical need of the patient/population and the experience and skills of the individual therapist.

Qualifications

Education/ Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

Masters Degree from an

AATA approved program or a non-AATA approved program with a minimum of 18

credits in specified art therapy coursework (as required by ATCB for ATR) OR

significant progress (max 15 hours remaining) toward Master’s Degree from an

AATA approved program or a non-AATA approved program with a minimum of 18

credits in specified art therapy coursework (as required by ATCB for ATR)

Experience(required and preferred):

Experience working with

adult and/or child/adolescent populations in a psychiatric setting

preferred.

Healthcare

Provider/Basic Life Support, required.

Able to complete Safe

Crisis Management and perform Safe Crisis Management techniques, required.

IFSTUDENT:

Bachelor’s degree

required and enrollment in an Art Therapy program, Master’s degree required

within 3 years.
