Days, Full-Time

  • Processes special requisitions

  • Ensures all orders placed are compliant with appropriate local or national contracts and are consistent with product standardization and value analysis decisions

  • Researches problems with back orders and substitute items when manufacturers and/or distributors are out of product

  • Coordinates returns to vendors

  • Handles hospital procedures for recalled products

  • Clears on-hold invoices and returns to Finance

  • Distributes product information to department heads and maintains updated reference and quote files, catalogs, etc.

  • Processes bill-only as appropriate

  • Assists in other duties as assigned

Essential Functions

  • Provides oversight, guidance, and support of buyers

  • Establishes structures processes, and procedures that areconsistent with direction from the national supply chain office

  • Works collaboratively with all levels as necessary .tocoordinate contract implementation and product conversions

  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing and expensebudgets

  • Actively leads training, team huddles, and one-on-onecoaching with team of buyers

  • Supervises individuals including but not limited to: hiring,assigning work, evaluating performance, and providing feedback

  • Assures that the buyer team provides a high level ofcustomer service in support of purchasing needs to all vendors and clinicalstaff across the organization

  • Oversees and monitors reports/metrics for alignment with CHINational and divisional leadership

  • Implements policies and procedures that ensure a consistentapproach for monitoring performance

  • Assists in other duties as assigned


Education/Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field preferred

grandfathered into these educational requirements

Experience (requiredand preferred):

A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience and

responsibilities in purchasing Three years of health care experience preferred
