Days, Full Time

Provide exceptional service in helping patients get access

to needed medications thru financial planning and advocacy. This will involve

working with insurers, foundations, drug manufacturers and other payers in

helping patients get funding for medications. Represent PPSP and operate as the

relationship and Medication Access Coordinator between the provider staff,

patient, pharmacy, billing, insurance provider, patient communities, social

services and other involved parties to drive excellent customer service

delivery and profitability of PPSP. Problem-solve fulfillment service and

insurance concerns and partner with all involved parties to ensure the patient

receives the best possible care experience.

Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for outreach efforts,

allowing for regular improvement assessments and modifications. Responsible for managing the performance and

effectiveness of outreach efforts to assure measurable business results.

Qualifications

Degree in business/healthcare or related field, or equivalent

combination of education and related experience.

2 year degree in healthcare or related field. Preferably in a hospital/retail pharmacy or

physician practice.

Current/active registration with the Kentucky Board of

Pharmacy.

Three to five years of experience in pharmacy operations and

clinic relationships required.

Three or more years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy

operations and clinic relationships preferred.

Due to differences in scope of care, practice, or service

across settings, the specific experience required for this position may vary.

Excellent customer service skills, excellent written and

verbal communication skills, proficient in the English language, good attention

to detail, ability to problem solve effectively, ability to follow policies and

procedures, basic math skills, advanced computer skills and proficient with

medical terminology.
