This position is responsible

for providing administrative support to Hospital Administration and Nursing staff, performing a

wide variety of complex administrative duties independently to assist in

project and strategic objective completion. Coordinates special projects

related to the administration of programs and functions. Coordinates the activities within Administration and Nursing

Services.

Key Job Responsibilities:

This

individual will be called upon to support the campus in a variety of projects

and administrative tasks. This individual

will also work collaboratively with Immanuel Administration, and will have

frequent contact with other members of Clinical Services Executive team on a

wide variety of other complex and diverse administrative tasks.

  • Provides projectassistance to the Director of Patient Care supporting Nursing Services and Hospital Administration to complete assigned projects. Ensures timely follow-up on assigned projects.

  • Directly supports 105 nursing staff members and 5 Directors at Immanuel.

  • Preparespresentations and reports as requested.Synthesizes information to create graphical and text presentations. Maintains proficiency with graphical,analytical and other software as needed to create meaningful presentations andreports.

  • Writes reports asneeded. Initiates and maintainsstandardized reports as assigned and agreed upon, including such things asbudget reconciliation, committee meeting minutes, and quality tracking.

  • Communicates withinternal and external audiences, including physicians, to obtain information orotherwise assist in project completion.

  • Takespersonal initiative to prepare drafts of correspondence and otherdocuments required on a timely basis. Composes letters and memoranda inresponse to inquiries as directed.

  • Coordinateswith other Department and Administrative Secretaries on items of commoninterest and involvement, including vacation coverage and appropriateallocation of resources.

  • Assistancein business plan development as assigned.

  • Maintainsdiscretion with large amounts of sensitive, confidential information(e.g., concerning professional and personal performances of staff,information contained in minutes, letters and other documents).

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Preferred:A

minimum of 5 years of coordinating project work or administrative assistant at

the Senior Leadership level, preferably in a health care environment.

Bachelor's

Degree in Business Management/Administration or related field is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to type 60 wpm

required. Requires demonstrated

expertise using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Powerpoint) software, and

experience in LAN and Windows operating environments. Experience with Publisher, Access, and Visio

software are a plus. Must possess strong

knowledge of all areas of nursing services; strong time management and

organizational skills; ability to work independently; excellent listening

skills, very good oral and written communication skills; good knowledge of

grammar and sentence structure; excellent problem solving skills, good planning

skills; strong customer service skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a

high level or motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust and place a

high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
