Under the direction of the Complementary Therapies Coordinator, provides massage therapy services, consultation, and education. Works in every way possible to improve the comfort and satisfaction of Harrison Medical Center internal and external customers. Supports, promotes, and enhances the healing environment and a mind-body-spirit approach to health and wellness.


  • Effectively delivers massage therapy services, consultation, and education within ones scope of practice.

  • Demonstrated desire and capacity to learn and implement additional complementary therapy modalities.

  • Works cooperatively with a variety of clinical and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.

  • Effectively manages client/patient case load.

  • Listens and collaborates closely with treatment team and / or patient to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Timely completion of departmental paperwork, clinical documentation, and related billing requirements.

  • Performs duties that support the goal of referral growth through provider and patient satisfaction, education and communication.

  • Consistently makes themselves available to other members of the team by initiating opportunities to assist and/or round during down times.

  • Remains current on best practices, industry standards, and innovation related to modalities utilized.

  • Supports and mentors department volunteers.



  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • A minimum of 1 year experience providing massage therapy services in a clinical setting. Equivalent education, experience or internship maybe considered.

  • Completion of a Washington State DOH approved massage program.


  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association

  • Washington State Massage Practitioner license
