RN -Midwifery Birth Center
As the flagship hospital of CHI Franciscan Health, St. Joseph Medical Center continues to be the regional leader in the use of advanced medical technologies and therapies.
The 361-bed regional medical center is a level II trauma center with Level III Neonatal Intensive Care support, in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital. Our Inpatient OB Department offers 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage for high risk deliveries, and 24/7 in-department OB Hospitalist coverage. We are also offering families a new, outpatient choice for labor and delivery with our low-acuity Midwifery Center, opening in Spring/Summer of 2016.
Our new Midwifery Center features three private birthing suites with birthing tubs and two triage rooms. We are very excited to be able to offer support to women who desire a normal physiologic birth. The Midwifery Center is the first of its kind in Washington State, located on a hospital campus as a hospital outpatient center.
Our leadership team is committed to supporting the diverse populations we serve and they truly enjoy mentoring and developing staff members. We are most proud of the compassionate quality care we provide and our ability to safely offer women a wide range of options.
