CHI St. Luke’s Health is a part of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), one of the nation’s largest health systems. Headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, CHI operates in 18 states and comprises more than 90 hospitals, including four academic medical centers and teaching hospitals; 24 critical-access facilities; community health services organizations; accredited nursing colleges; home health agencies; and other services that span the inpatient and outpatient continuum of care.
The Market President (“President”) of CHI St. Joseph Health System (“CHI St. Joseph”) is responsible for the development and execution of continued strategic market growth. The President will also lead the executive team to achieve effective and efficient operations of the hospitals. The President is accountable for the achievement of objectives consistent with the mission, values and overall operational plans of CHI Texas Division (“Texas Division”) and Catholic Health Initiatives (“CHI”). The President is held accountable for effectively managing hospital resources and achieving high quality outcomes and strong financial performance. The President, in conjunction with the executive team, will ensure that high quality patient care and services are delivered at the hospitals which meet the needs of patients, physicians, and the community. The President also provides leadership and growth strategies for key service lines. The President will have a history of developing strong and trusting physician relationships and a strong desire to engage in community activities and boards in which he/she will represent the organization.
The President is responsible for implementing the strategic direction set forth by the CHI Texas Division and CHI’s strategic plans. The President connects the elements of the local health care delivery system including CHI Texas Division and CHI facilities, vendors and partners to increase the effectiveness of care delivery and population health management. The President is the public face of CHI St. Joseph, the CHI Texas Division and CHI in the community. The President provides leadership to the overall operational management for the hospitals in accordance with the mission, vision and values of CHI St. Joseph, the CHI Texas Division and CHI.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Masters Degree
Minimum years in field previous to employment:
Ten years of healthcare experience
Ten years of direct people leadership experience
Five years of experience as a senior executive in a large faith-based healthcare system or the CEO/President of a smaller healthcare organization. Designation as a Member or Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives is preferred.
Preferred years in field previous to employment:
M.H.A., M.B.A., or M.S. in healthcare administration, business administration, public health administration or related field.
Designation as a Member or Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives is preferred.
