19600 Marketing Communications Coordinator

Description

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance in the development of marketing and promotional activities to support and broaden the Hospital’s services.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Assists in coordination and development of publicity, publications, advertising, and public relations, including social media pages

  2. Writes and distributes news releases, newsletters, and web articles, including Facebook posts

  3. Assists in ensuring the Hospital obtains positive publicity and media coverage

  4. Produces educational and promotional publications

  5. Ensures publications meet Hospital standards and goals

  6. Assists in the development and maintenance of Hospital’s website

  7. Creates and edits communications, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations; additionally is able to develop complex documents, spreadsheets and presentations independently

  8. Serves as substitute Public Information Officer (PIO) in the absence of the PIO; participates in Disaster Training

  9. Assists with event planning and market assigned Departments

Qualifications

Required Licensure and Certifications

Valid Driver’s License

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Required Minimum Experience

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with Marketing or Public Relations related responsibilities

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with Adobe Suites, Microsoft Word, Project, Access and Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Knowledge of communications, media relations, and advertising

Strong written and oral communication skills with strong public speaking capabilities; strong proof reading and editing skills

Ability to work outside normal operating hours for Departmental events as needed
